September's Story
It all started with God's promise and two hearts that decided to follow it.
Our Story
On August 22nd, 2022, we lost our precious daughter September Rose Smith. Her little heart stopped beating at 41 weeks and we were devastated. I have wanted kids for years and had been looking forward to raising a family with my husband, Asher. My heart is quite literally shattered in this time of grief over our first born daughter. We called her "September" since we found out we were pregnant and it just felt right. I loved the idea of calling her our little Ember when she was a toddler, and her sunny personality would match her fiery name. We had big dreams for our girl. On the day I went into labor and we discovered our loss, I instantly knew that name was absolutely perfect for her. Her memory will live on, in our hearts and others for as long as I am living and breathing. In honor of her legacy, In calling my candle shop "Ember + Jane", her name and my middle name, it feels as if I am forever tying my mama heart to hers. If you have ever lost a little one, my heart goes out to you and I am here for you. My name is Alexandra, but my nickname is Zuzu. I have been called that since I was a baby! Some of my hobbies include playing my guitar or ukulele, making candles, traveling to new places, and hanging out with my husband cooking, playing games, watching shows, or singing in the car together!
My day job is working at Design Studio East as a hairstylist. I love doing people's hair and creating art out of the beautiful canvas I work on! I also have my associate's degree in Business Management.

My sweet husband Asher, and I have been married for 2 and a half years, and we are falling more in love every day. Almost every candle that you receive will have been lovingly created by myself + my husband working together in different ways on it. We recently welcomed our second daughter in January, Sage Elizabeth. She is the sweetest baby and we are so in love! God has been so merciful to us and we are beyond blessed!

I am passionate about God and my role as a daughter of the highest King. My favorite bible verse is Mark 5:34, when Jesus tells the woman who was sick that her faith has made her whole, to go in peace and be healed. My company is faith based and all goes back to the Glory of God!
